Workshop - how to raise a toast and greet in front of an audience
Speaking in front of an informal audience (eg family and friends, and even a toast at work) is sometimes a more complicated challenge than speaking in front of a formal audience at work. On the one hand, you have to make an effort for it to turn out well, on the other hand, you must not be seen as someone who is making an effort. There is the difficulty of navigating between being informal on the one hand and looking disrespectful on the other, and in the background the risk of an unfunny joke or an insulting compliment.
Beyond raising the glass correctly, there are those for whom the presentation of a blessing actually arouses fear in the audience - some feel 'protected' behind the position, the title or the suit. For others, the problem is personal tensions - for example with the mother-in-law or the old aunt ("When will you get married?"), and there are also those who want to be more lighthearted and entertaining and don't know how.
Be that as it may, speaking in front of an informal audience can also be learned, and in the special class dedicated to this we will learn the subject and then take advantage of raising the glass for the new year and the new offices and we will get used to it.
The atmosphere will be less formal than our usual courses, but more festive - for example there will be more varied refreshments, including apples in honey and wine.
On the professional side, on the other hand, there will be no concessions at all - we will learn the theory of how to be light and kind, we will practice different types of greetings, and we will even practice greetings after drinking wine.
