Parking options
The Diamond Exchange area is notoriously difficult to find parking. Those who come to us in the mornings and afternoons are advised to check in advance the parking options in the area. In the evening the problem almost disappears, then there is plenty of free parking space.
1. The Industrial Street public parking lot - close and cheap, but occupied.
This is the most convenient, closest and free parking lot. Unfortunately it is also the busiest during the day. This parking lot is located on Hatash St. right below the office. Those who arrive by 8:30 in the morning have a good chance of finding parking, and then the chances are slim until the evening. From 17:00 the parking lot is emptied and in the evening it is always available.
- Payment: basically the price of regular city parking. In practice, there is almost never a parking report.
- Availability: Nil, only before 8:30
- Distance: 150 m., about a minute
2. Private parking lot on Hatisv Street - close and available, but expensive.
This parking lot is also very convenient and very close. Unfortunately it is paid and expensive. The parking lot is on the industrial street across from the public parking lot (so you can check if there is free parking before entering).
- Payment: NIS 50 for a full day. 20 NIS for the first hour, then 4 NIS for every 15 minutes.
- Availability: reasonable, sometimes you have to walk another 100 m inside the parking lot, but there is always room.
- Distance: 150-350 meters, 2-3 minutes
3. Private parking lot on Menachem Begin Street - less close, less available, less expensive.
It is found on Begin Street shortly after you pass the turn onto Hatash Street. This parking lot is a little further and will require another two minutes of walking (problematic in the rain/Khamsin, not a problem in everything else).
- Payment: 45 NIS for a whole day.. 20 NIS for the first hour, then 4 NIS for every 15 minutes.
- Availability: Reasonable. It sometimes happens that it fills up completely.
- Distance: 350 meters, about three minutes
4. Shikhon Rhymes and the Shenkar College area - for those who like to walk with a touch of Ramat Gan
The small streets north of Bialik Street are a little far from the school and have a sequence of one-way streets that sometimes confuses people. You usually have to walk around once or twice until you find a parking spot, but for those who have a Ramat Gan municipality pass, parking will be very cheap.
- Payment: normal parking card or mobile parking. Zero price for residents of Ramat Gan.
- Availability: Reasonable. You will usually have to walk around for a few minutes until you find a free place.
- Distance: 200-800 meters, which is about 5-8 minutes, depending on which street and how many are bragging.
5. Top Park - for Tel Aviv ticket holders
There is plenty of parking along Pinchas Sapir Street (blue and white sidewalks) and usually a free space as well.
- Payment: normal parking card or mobile parking. Zero price for Tel Aviv residents.
- Availability: very good. There is almost always parking at the first crossing.
- Distance: 600-800 meters, which is about 8-10 minutes.
6. Electricity company parking lot - for owners of jeeps or leasing vehicles
It's a makeshift parking lot next to the electric company's Hathaot station. The entrance is from Goren Street (formerly Halachah Street) towards the west, then you can get on the sidewalk and go down Kurkar Road to a large parking area.
- Payment: Free
- Availability: good. The best places are taken early, but those who don't mind driving a bit on rocks will always have a place.
- Distance: 400 meters, which is about 6 minutes
7. Getting out of Babylon housing - available and free, but far away.
Babylon housing has an unknown exit towards the south, where there is plenty of parking and free of charge. You can get there from the Babli housing complex itself (go all the way in, and turn right on Rabbi Nissim Street). A shorter and simpler way to get there is to turn from Goren Street north to Hanassim Street and then right onto Rabbi Nissim Street.
- Payment: Free
- Availability: good. Sometimes you have to walk another 100 meters until you find parking
- Distance: 900-1200 meters, which is about 10-12 minutes
