How is inequality created?

I will present two sources of poverty problems - at the macro level - political problems, and then at the micro level - income inequality.

Macro problems - the security situation, the freezing of the political process and the outbreak of violence prevent the state from investing in the welfare policy.
Because of the freezing of the political process - there is an embargo from the Arab and European countries and therefore the economy is affected.
The problem of violence - we have a heterogeneous society with social divisions that prevent the provision of equal opportunities (what has to do with violence) - for example between men and women, ultra-Orthodox and Arabs, etc.
For example - when a woman tries to get a job, the salary conditions are higher than for men, especially in the higher ranks

Micro problems - income inequality -
Since the 1990s we have become more and more capitalist as a country. That's why they entered a vicious circle - the state does not encourage people or train them, therefore many sectors do not get an education or an opportunity, and cannot realize themselves. As a result they have no money and therefore their children also have no education or opportunity.
Beyond that, there is inequality in capital taxation - most of the burden falls on the middle classes, who subsidize the weak sector. These problems prevent the marginalized from receiving the same treatment as the more educated and developed sectors. Because Israeli society is very divided, it is difficult to achieve equal opportunities.

I tried to present to you the problems that prevent us from being a welfare state whose residents feel well-off - both because of the political problems that prevent us from concentrating on welfare, and because of growing inequality.

About the public debate club

As part of the club, a monthly 'Hyde Park' is held, that is, an open public discussion on a topical issue, in which each participant presents his positions in a limited time, and receives feedback from the other participants and the moderator Guy Yariv. The goal of the club is to improve public discourse and allow for in-depth discussion of controversial issues while learning rhetoric and improving speech and persuasion skills.
The club is open to the public and includes support for participants who suffer afraid of what Or they have no experience in public speaking.
