Debate: for and against recognizing coffee as a recognized expense
The public is invited to participate In the debate at the debate club. Should the tax authorities recognize coffee shops as a recognized expense for the self-employed? In an era where office prices are skyrocketing on the one hand, and on the other hand most businessmen do not need much more than an internet connection and space for a laptop, the obvious conclusion is that it is often more profitable to pay a few shekels a day in a coffee shop than thousands of shekels a month for an office. This economic logic is proven every day in thousands of coffee shops throughout the country, but there is one place it has not reached yet - the tax authority. This claims that coffee shops should be taxed like Falafelia or Cofix - a place where people stop for a moment to get food, which they should have eaten anyway whether they are self-employed or unemployed. This logic may have been true in the 1970s (when, ironically, it was possible to tax such expenses) but in recent decades it has become a complete absurdity. the topics of discussion:Assignment 1: Why do freelancers go to coffee shops?
