The program for assertiveness studies, led by Hai Alram - director of a bar service company - is based on both changing thinking patterns and changing behavior patterns, with the aim of teaching the participants how to always get what they want, without hurting the people around them.
As part of the program, the participants will learn behavioral techniques (for exampleCreating rapport', and adapting the body language to the interlocutor) along with thinking techniques (eg Ways to define goals and objectives, and how to develop awareness and control towards these goals. After the theory, participants will experience hands-on practice, and will receive individual practice assignments to take home, plus telephone guidance when needed, to help turn the theoretical tools into practice. At the beginning of the following lesson, they will receive feedback and reflection to see what helped each participant, in implementing the tools in reality.
The workshop is conducted by Guy Yariv and Chai Elram. Guy is the founder of the public speaking school, a rhetoric lecturer at the academy and winner of awards and achievements in the field of rhetoric. Chai is a bartender who owns a bar service company and an instructor in alcohol and wine courses, who has worked for about 10 years in the nightlife and entertainment industry, and manages diverse teams of a large number of people under intense pressure - while constantly demanding representativeness, a high level of service and a smile.
